Allbritton Photography will be on campus this week to take cap and gown pictures for anyone who has not had them taken at Allbritton’s.  You will take your pictures during your Senior English class.  Mrs. Barron’s and Mr. Reid’s classes will take pictures on Wednesday the 31st; and Mrs. Hunts, Mrs. Rodgers, and Mrs. Rutledge’s classes will be Thursday the 1st.  See your English teacher or come by room 4206 for more information.


Junior Civitans will have a brief meeting tomorrow immediately after school in room 6206.



You may now apply for the Drew Elementary School Sylvia Davison Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Drew Elementary's PTO gives this scholarship each year to a student who attended Drew for 5 complete years. Please check out our guidance website, the WMHS Face Book Page, or stop by Guidance for an application. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 2. 


Congratulations to Air Force Junior ROTC's drill team on their outstanding performance this past weekend!  40 of our cadets competed in the state championships for drill and ceremonies against junior ROTC teams from 12 other schools across the state.

Rebel ROTC brought home multiple trophies:

Cadet Jacob Manley's PT Team finished in 2nd place in the physical fitness challenge Cadet Jacob Graves led the unarmed regulation drill team to a 2nd place finish Cadet Jaiden Nordstrom commanded the armed inspection team in their first time ever competing and led them to first place Overall ROTC placed third in state which is their highest finish in the competition ever.


Good luck to the Lady Rebel Soccer team as they go for win number 19 in their last regular season game tonight at Ruston High School. Kick off is at 5:30 with the boys team playing right after at 7:15. Playoff brackets will be released tomorrow and the girls have earned a first round bye and a home game in the 2nd round. We will keep you updated as to who their next opponent will be.


The West Monroe Rebel boys soccer team won it's final district game of the season Saturday with a 6-0 win over Airline.   Dennis Palacios scored 2 goals with Lanzel Burton, Jakob Christinensen, Brennan WHite, and Joshual Webber each adding one.  Carlos Gomez, Lanzel Burton, and Alex Sanchez each had an assist.  The Rebels finish off the regular season tonight at Ruston.  The Rebels are currently #16 in the power ratings with a 12-8-6 record. 


Sign up for the Spring Lifeshare Blood Drive are today January 29th and tomorrow, January 30th.  There will be a table located outside of the cafeteria.  You can donate blood without parental permission at 17 years of age or older.  16 year olds must have parental permission.  Be sure to pick up a permission slip at the table when you sign up.  All students must have a valid picture ID the day of the drive.  The Blood Drive will be held on Monday and Tuesday, February 5th and 6th.  Remember you MUST sign up to donate in an elective class.  Students may also sign up with Mrs. Clark in room 3205.
