Students, this is a reminder that we will have a Monday night student and parent meeting for all interested.The Louisiana Office of Student Financial Aid will be here today at 6:00 PM in the auditorium.Come learn about the cost of college and how to fund higher education.The representative will also address grants, scholarships and touch on the topic of TOPS.


Seniors, remember to keep your college acceptance and scholarship letters. Send a copy to Mrs. McCollough in guidance. We want to celebrate your successes and we are preparing for our Spring Awards Ceremony.


Students, Dont forget to check out the West Monroe High School Facebook page.New scholarships were just posted this week. Twenty-two new scholarships are available for review.Everyone should check out scholarship opportunities.Not all of them are designated just for seniors.


Seniors, remember to wear your college T-shirt on Mondays in October.Lets see who you love or where you are heading.


Seniors, baby ads are due to Mrs. McDuffie room 6204 before November first. That's only two weeks away!


National Buy Your Yearbook Day is Thursday, October 25th.Sales will begin second period.The first 30 people to order will receive color changing cups, and anyone who places a yearbook order that day will be entered into drawings for Chick fil A cards. Don't miss out on your book of memories!


Attention National Honor SocietyMembers. This is the week of our food drive that benefits Grace's Place and the Cancer League. Please bring your donation to Ms. Lovelady in room 3202 by Friday, October 25. A detailed list of the items required for your donation is on the NHS page 


Since we are not sure if an announcement was made concerning Reece Aultman last week, we would like to recognize him today.Congratulations are definitely in order.Reece has been accepted to Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi.The admissions and scholarship committee has awarded him the Millsaps Presidential Scholarship of $30,000 a year.Thats $120,000 over the course of four years.When thinking about where to apply to college, remember that a private college may be more affordable than you think.Just ask Reece!

Students, keep this in mind -Ordinary people think merely of spending time. Great people think of using it.Daniel, Alena and Wyatt, you have clearly used your time wisely.


Seniors - Mark your calendars for November 1.You and your parents can get help completing your FAFSA  Free Application for Federal Student Aid.The library will be open from 5:30  7:30 PM.Counselors and financial aid representatives will be on site to help with this task.Remember, completing your FAFSA is a graduation requirement in the state of Louisiana.


Junior Civitans will have a meeting on October 31st at 7:25 am! Club members will get a Chick-fil-a chicken biscuit, and we will fill bags with candy to pass out to your fellow students during the day! Also, we will have a special guest at our meeting. Passes to get in the building are outside room 6206.Happy Halloween!


Students and Teachers, if you've ever been interested in Amateur Radio, otherwise known as Ham Radio, we have a great opportunity for you! On November 17th we will have a day of lessons followed by the licensing test for only $10. Find Mrs. Cavin in Room 3204 or 7103 for more information!
