West Monroe did very well at the Benton Tiger Relays last Thursday night. The men took 2nd place at the meetwhile the women came in 5th.

Kirsten Elrod took 1st place in both the 800 meter run and the 3200 meter run.

In the ladies relays, West monroe came in 3rd in the 4x100 which included Shakayla Glass, Paige McKoin, Jewell Gholston and Kayla Mays.

They took 2nd in the 4x200 relay which include Faith Johnson, Shakayla Glass, Makaya Glass and Kayla Mays.

On the mens side, Michael Hamburg took 1st in the 100 meter dash, 1st in the 110 m hurdles and 1st in the 300 M hurdles.

Isaiah George came in 3rd in the 200m dash.

In the longer runs, Caden Jones took 2nd in the 800 m while Christian Girod came in 3rd in the 1600 meter run.

Hampton Mitchell took 1st place in the triple jump.

In Mens relays, West Monroe came away with 2nd in the 4x100 which included Jerimihia Gill, Jairus Henry, Isaiah George and Michael Hamburg.

In the 4x200 West Monroe came in 3rd with Jerimiah Gill, Jason Cooper, Jairus Henry and Isaiah George.

West monroe came in 3rd in the last race of the night which was the 4x400 relay that included Ayinda Robinson, Jason Cooper, Jairus Henry and Zak Knox.

Jr Civitans who are interested in assisting with the Special Olympics Track and Field events on Friday, March 23rd must pick up permission forms outside room 6206. Only the first 25 completed forms will be allowed to participate. Forms are due to Mrs. Beach by Monday, March 19th!

The Calhoun High School Alumni Association Scholarship application is now available in Guidance and online. Applicants must be legally related to a graduate of Calhoun High School and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better. You must have documented plans to further your education at a college, university, community college, or trade school. All applicants must write a 1-2 page essay on "A Controversial Problem Faced On School Campuses and Suggest Solutions."Applications must be posted marked no later than April 5, 2018.

The Alzheimer's FoundationScholarshipis not due untilMarch 26

You may now apply for the Southern University Alumni Federation Monroe Chapter Scholarship. Applications are available in guidance as well as on our website and our WMHS Face Book page. The deadline to apply is April 20.

The Kiroli Parents and Loyal Supporters (KPALS)Scholarship Application is now available in guidance and on our guidance website. The deadline for applying is March 23.

Seniors, a new scholarship is now available in Guidance. It is the Ben Caldwell Memorial Scholarship and has a deadline of April 21. Other scholarships due this week are the WM Survivor and DST Monroe Metropolitan due Tuesday, April 4th; and the Claiborne Elementary Scholarship due Friday, April 7.
