Key Club officers for the 2018-2019 school year are: President: Lainy Jones, Vice-President: Ethan Swanner, Secretary: Shelby Rambo, Treasurer: Annalee Watson, Historian: Ellie Frye ,and Parliamentarian: Brendan McClain

Attention Art Club members:  We will meet in Mrs. Ganley's room at 3:15 on Thursday. Bring your receipt for your tee shirt.  If you ordered online, we have your receipt. We will work on Homecoming signs at this meeting.

If you are interested in potentially serving as a manager for the Lady Rebel Basketball team, please come see Coach Kirkland or Coach Smith during your lunch shift in the old gym. Thank you!

JCL is sponsoring a canned food drive this week to benefit the NELA Food Bank as a part of a state-wide drive on behalf of our parent organization, the Louisiana Junior Classical League. Please bring non-perishable items like canned fruit, canned vegetables, or canned meat or items like bagged rice, bagged beans, or boxed meals. The current biggest needs are proteins (peanut butter in plastic containers, beans, tuna, canned chili, etc.) and meals in boxes/cans (Mac and cheese, spaghetti-o’s, ravioli, etc.). Please do not bring any glass containers. We will collect in homeroom, and the winning homeroom will get doughnuts one day the following week.

Seniors, remember that next Monday is the first day of October and that means it’s our kick-off for College Application Month.  Wear a college T-shirt with pride and show our underclassmen a college going culture at our school.

The PSAT will be given at West Monroe High School Wednesday, October 24th during the morning hours. All students in 10th or 11th grade honors classes are strongly encouraged to take this test. Registration ends on Friday, October 5th. The fee is $20.00 and students should register with either Mrs. Rutledge, Mrs. Counts, Mrs. Gulde or Mrs. Harris. If you have any questions, please see your English teacher for additional help.

Congratulations to seniors Jaiden Nordstrom and Caleb Shumate for being recognized with the Honesty and Integrity award last night by the West Monroe Masonic Lodge recognizing their positive character and dedication to the school and community.
